Protocolo de conservación y manejo de las aves como base fundamental en el plan turístico del departamento del Vaupés

Abstract

El aviturismo (Figura 2) corresponde una fuente INNOVADORA de ingresos en territorios poco explorados y cuyas alternativas productivas son escasas, esta actividad va acorde a las estrategias de conservación teniendo en cuenta que el objetivo final es prevenir la extinción de las especies, apreciarlas en su entorno natural y poder convivir en armonía con ellas manteniendo sus poblaciones en niveles ecológicamente saludables.

Tendiendo lo anterior claro, el objetivo de este protocolo es ser una herramienta dentro del contexto intercultural del Vaupés para iniciar actividades de aviturismo, la mayoría del departamento está predominada por territorios de resguardos indígenas cuyas actividades productivas se basan en el cultivo de especies forestales nativas para su propio consumo, trayendo consigo áreas boscosas en estado de absoluta conservación o de baja intervención, es por esto, que identificar el potencial de estos ecosistemas como resguardos de fauna para su uso y aprovechamiento IN SITU se vuelve una alternativa nueva para el municipio, trayendo consigo nuevas opciones a la población realizando una actividad de bajo impacto para el ecosistema y con buenas repercusiones económicas para el departamento.

Bird tourism (Figure 2) corresponds to an INNOVATIVE source of income in little explored territories and whose productive alternatives are scarce, this activity is in accordance with conservation strategies taking into account that the final objective is to prevent the extinction of species, appreciate them in their natural environment and being able to live in harmony with them, keeping their populations at ecologically healthy levels.

Keeping the above clear, the objective of this protocol is to be a tool within the intercultural context of Vaupés to initiate bird-tourism activities, most of the department is dominated by indigenous reservation territories whose productive activities are based on the cultivation of native forest species for its own consumption, bringing with it wooded areas in a state of absolute conservation or low intervention, which is why identifying the potential of these ecosystems as wildlife safeguards for their use and exploitation IN SITU becomes a new alternative for the municipality, bringing I get new options for the population by carrying out an activity of low impact for the ecosystem and with good economic repercussions for the department.
