Herederos del sol

Abstract

En la comunidad de Meridaily, en la Guajira, la energía eléctrica era algo lejano hasta el año 2013 cuando Elkin, instructor del SENA, se propuso cambiar este panorama. La comunidad y la institución educativa andaban a media marcha, por las limitaciones que implicaba no contar con fluido eléctrico. Mediante el desarrollo de sistemas solares fotovoltaicos, la institución educativa pasó de atender 60 a 800 estudiantes, los procesos de aprendizaje incorporan ahora herramientas tecnológicas y se generaron condiciones favorables para el desarrollo integral de la comunidad.

In the community of Meridaily, in La Guajira, electricity was a distant thing until 2013 when Elkin, an instructor from SENA, set out to change this panorama. The community and the educational institution were in mid-gear, due to the limitations implied by not having electricity. Through the development of photovoltaic solar systems, the educational institution went from serving 60 to 800 students, the learning processes now incorporate technological tools and favorable conditions were generated for the integral development of the community.
